A Note from the founder of WHITE DOVE CEREMONY & WHITE DOVE SOCIETY INTERNATIONAL . . .
White Dove Ceremony was founded and this website developed when I was building my White Dove Release business in Arizona. I have always been immersed in the world of birds, with a Masters Degree in Biology earned while studying avian species in Hawaii. With a life-long interest in biology and raising and training various animals, I also taught school at various levels (elementary, middle, high school and college), and from this footing, I wanted to share my knowledge about doves. I have also been a continuous entrepreneur with various businesses supporting my interests. My white dove release business was very successful and I watched many others struggling - so I developed White Doves 101 to provide some insights into the path to success.
White Dove Society International was founded to bring the world of White Dove Release professionals into a cohesive community world-wide. The International White Dove Society is dedicated to the worldwide promotion of White Dove Businesses as a profession and to provide a means to promote public awarenessand the ability to find a reputable business for their special events. This is done via a DIRECTORY of white dove businesses worldwide.
A code of ethics and standards was developed and is agreed upon by all members. The Purpose of the Website is to provide information on White Doves for Release so that we are able to build businesses that are enjoyable and profitable, providing a service that is meaningful to the participants (human and avian) and providers.
This past year has been extraodinary. Many businesses have struggled; some have closed their lofts. Others have been able to improvise and continue. Our community of white dove professionals continues stronger than ever. And I have great hopes for a prosperous year ahead. Although I was myself forced (due to health reasons) to close my release business and sell my birds, I am still committed to this website and this profession.
Sincerely, S. van Riper.
